Chocolate Muffins Chocolate Muffins

So easy to make. A good recipe to keep the kids busy!

  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 100 g Caster Sugar
  • 150 g Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 large Fresh Egg
  • 230 ml Milk
  • 250 g Plain Flour
  • 125 ml SuperValu Sunflower Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence


  1. Pre heat the oven to 190°C (Gas Mark 5).
  2. Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, sugar and baking powder together and add most of the chocolate chips (retaining some for sprinkling).
  3. Mix the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla essence together well and add the flour mixture.
  4. Gently stir with a wooden spoon.
  5. Spoon the mixture into paper cases, half filling each one.
  6. Dot the tops with the rest of the chocolate chips.
  7. Cook for 20 minutes until risen and firm.
  8. Leave to cool for about 30 minutes before serving.
